Meg Fox, Writer
My stories have been selected for the New Orphic Review, the Journey Prize Anthology, Referential and the Millenium 43rd NMW Literary Award for Fiction. My novella, Wheel and Ride, was a semi-finalist for the Eludia Prize. My poetry has been published in a number of journals, including Grey Skies Review and The Trinity Review, and my play I Wish I Had a River was included in the Breathing Fire Reading Series. I’m a veteran of writer’s conferences including Breadloaf, SLS, Sewannee, and most recently was part of Sigrid Nunez’ workshop at the Breadloaf in Sicily Conference. I’m a member of Toronto’s Scribblers Writers Group, and I hold a doctorate in English from the University of Toronto, a checkered past as a rock singer and lay midwife, and am the founder and principal of The Dragon Academy, a quirky independent high school for gifted non-conformists.
Jane Austen, Walter Benjamin, Charlotte Bronte, A. S. Constant reader, looking for the lacunae, the leftovers, the ghosts and ruins. I'll keep the tab open for what I'm reading lately.
